See you later doesn't mean goodbye
The name's Jessie and is currently a Year 3 student at Dunman High School.I'm in DHSBT and DHSSC, and also in 3Mickey'09. Lectra'07'08 is the best class ever and I still miss them. I like songs (nice ones) and books (nice books especially by Jodi Picoult). Strawberry milk and pasta salad are nice, but apples are even nicer! Script-writing and story writing are some of the things which I like doing. Planning to go to Cambridge or Warwick (if possible). If not, I'll stay in Singapore and do a double degree! |

Reminiscence,
Status: Thinking, and listening to loads of songs!Mood: Pensive (Hmm.) Right, it's been a long time since I last posted about Lectra. Well in fact, I did not write (or type in this case) a letter/post about Lectra. So now I shall do one since I have considerably less homework than usual. I started off in Lectra being a loner, with no one to talk to on the first day of orientation in the year 2007 as I did not have any schoolmates that I know (I only knew LZY and TYX existed in taonanschool, but did not even talk to them.) During flag-raising on the first day, I remember being very confused about where to go and what to do during flag-raising. I didn't know the school song (now I do!) and I didn't know we had to clap once after the command was given to be dismissed. I remember that we were standing in order by our register numbers, and Shixun (I didn't know who she was yet) hadn't arrived. Laura was then in front of me, so I decided to be daring and asked whether she knew anyone in the class (introducing myself first of course). She said there were no ex-classmates in Lectra and yeah introduced herself back. Then she daoed me -.- Then I dao her too! Orientation was really fun, with all the weird weird games and stuff going on. Slowly the ice broke. Haha maybe I was too sticky to SX that time, that's why she dao me at the photo-taking -.- HAHA AND I DIDN'T NOTICE! (at that time) I only realised it when she told me last year xD Haha it's okay :D Then as time passed, Lectra grew together and bonded well. Suddenly, we all were chionging together at Level camp'07 where we went to loads of different places. There were plenty of disputes and non-disputes, but we emerged through them together! Mid-autumn festival was very fun, as we had to be in school in the evening (so we just stayed in school for the whole afternoon). We (the girls) were all training for netball inter-class at that time, and formed circles in the parade square playing weird games. It was really fun. After the End-of-years 2007, was when we all went crazy and went out to Vivo immediately after the math paper. We were celebrating TingWei's birthday that day too, and surprised her by buying gifts and etc while Celeste (with her pro acting) managed to convince TW she had a stomachache and needed to go to the toilet (asking her to accompany). Hahaha! 2008 was a really great year! I became more studious, and more tired due to the many different things that started to arrive. That year was really jam-packed. Youth Water Conference, Science Biotech gameshow, Metamorphosis, IGGY Winter U, and many many more. I formed deeper relationships with the people in Lectra, and the whole class sort of dissolved the cliques. (Which was good!) I guess we all knew that sooner or later we had to separate and go to new classes for Year 3.. Now in the year 2009, I really miss Lectra alot, and the Mt Sinai campus alot too (although every day is like a tv drama episode in Tanjong Rhu). I miss Mt.Sinai and the quiet,countryside feel.. I miss running on the track to the ulu ulu corner where you could just collapse down and cry.. I miss the long train journeys home which proved to be a great bonding event.. I miss Lectra. Especially now when my Year 3 life is so hectic, and my batteries nearly die every week, I look forward to Wednesday alot. Cos that's when Lectra gets back together in the hostel dining hall and have lunch together as a class.. Even today when it's April Fool's day, I keep thinking of what would happen if Lectra was together at that moment, celebrating April Fool's day together as one. Mrs Koh would be there with her "Aiyo aiyo", and TYX would be there throwing pieces of the wall at everyone. And all the teachers would have been pranked on at least once by Lectra :D Take care of yourselves! And may the force be with you. (I'm a star wars addict :D) -This marks the start of the not about Lectra post- DHSBT won! Now on to the second round after friday's match. Missed geog today D: We'd be pranking Mr Lee (or he prank us), but too bad I'm not around.. Missed L.A lecture too! Today was April Fool's day and SHSC stole all the tables (except for a few) from the canteen. Haha DHS has a really cool culture :D 3M and 3L swopped classes, but the 3L people hiding in 3M got kicked out of the class by Mrs Lim when she came in. And 3L's form teacher haven't even arrive yet! Epic fail haha! Everyone, have a happy April Fool's day! |
